Today, our planet is facing severe environmental imbalances due to the depletion of natural resources. Mankind’s hunger for energy resources has led to destruction of forests and large scale displacement of people from their natural habitats. This has resulted in people shifting to the cities in search of livelihood which in turn puts a great deal of stress on the ecological system of the cities, thereby leading to a lot of social and economic imbalances. One of the major reasons for this environmental imbalance is industrialization which alone is chiefly responsible for pollution. Of course pollution also arises due to mining for minerals, destruction of forests, vehicles, etc. The environmental imbalances have led to a greater realization amongst people about conserving our energy resources for a better tomorrow. This has also reflected in the number of people joining energy audit training programs.
An energy audit training program refers to a set of training activities that are primarily designed to provide you the requisite knowledge and skills for acquiring a certificate recognizing you as a certified energy auditor. The programs are designed to help you understand and learn more about the different aspects of energy savings, conservation and efficiency. As a student you will learn how to conduct tests and inspections independently and recognize areas of energy wastage in both residential as well as commercial buildings. This skill will help you provide energy efficient solutions to your clients at a later date. This training program will help you to provide solutions that will lead to conservation of energy resources through efficient means of conservation.
Since there are many training institutes and colleges that offer energy audit training programs, select a training program that is verified by either HERS or HESP. Ensure that the institute is following the standards laid down by RESNET. These training programs are designed to equip you with sufficient skills and knowledge in conducting blower tests and infrared camera tests for identifying areas of energy wastage and also offer energy conservation solutions. Successful completion of the training program will enable you to become a certified energy auditor.
